The main need

A born healthy shake bar store wants an interior design proposal before it opening. We ask about the client they aspire to have, the kind of products they will offer, it prices, the budget they want to invest, the kind of equipment they use…

This basic information at the beginning of the design is important to understan how the bussines will operate. Cause the design have to respond as a first goal to this parameter.

After we explore this technical and specific details, we ask about the branding. If they already have a branding concepto developed. If they have some buyer persona defined or sort of market study.

On the go shake bar design

The client had an occupation capacity already defined on 18 people. So the way we find to achieve this capacity was to set a long chair with the seatback against the wall.

Also the client wanted a photography social media spot. The distribution bar obey to the main visual ending of the space.

This one is one of those project where things happen not in the best way. In fact this proposal design was made without any money retribution. Just as a simple visual proposal to make a quotation about the civil work that we gonna do. We quote the bar furniture, the painting work, the lighting work… as some other activities. When we did this the client took our design presentation and make it by his won without asking any kind of permission or authorization to me.
I know it was pretty innocent by my side to do this. But also I´ve always thought that one of the main premise that keep us at the top of the species clasification. Is to trust in the other. Also the lesson is already learned.
